Oh Noble One

fierce angel

Oh Nobel One,
You have become lazy, drawn to the dull light.
Lucky for you a fierce angel
Has come to guide you to the very bright light.
( from the Tibetan Book of the Dead)

So while we are living.
Let us become acquainted  with these fierce agents of change and goodwill
Frightening us to our core.

This is good practice

In the dream, in the dream, in the dream

Waiting is not in Vain

wating on the Lord

Waiting on the Lord

Doesn’t mean five minutes,

The moss grows on my legs

and a goat hair  grows so long , it becomes a ladder

Down to the sea.

Perhaps the Lord will climb up

And share his bucket of oysters and beer.

Waiting on the Lord

Crucified

Crucified

Joseph Campbell reflected that Jesus’ last week of life was a metaphor

that we can apply to what occurs in our own lives.

Are we riding victorious into the city, are we partying with friends,

Are we being betrayed and then crucified?

Or are we entering a new life, having come through the ordeal?

But the best metaphor of all

Is in those moments we are being nailed, inwardly or outwardly

Up on the cross, can we also hold love fully like he did?

Making a new universe,

One in which we always win.

BeFriended ( True Confidence)

2015-02-01 12.52.09

Old habits are demons of the fiercest sort,

Tugging, whining, whispering of past associations

Links to what is actually over.

If I don’t reinvest,

The pain diminishes quickly

And  we are integrated once again

The dark and the light of me.

This is true confidence.

Millions

100_6384

There are millions of cottonwood starts on the banks of the post flood St. Vrain River in Lyons

As far as the eye can see

more numerous then sperm,

John, who has never been a gardener, has taken them into his heart

Telling me to be careful where I step.

May first is The Beltane, it’s the season of sexual play

So skip to my loo my darling!

Happy Birthday to my Love Guru

100_6373It’s my mother’s 97th birthday

Lucky Me

I have paid full attention to knowing her

I have not missed this supreme opportunity.

Lucky Me

And now at this late date she is my love guru

with a steady call to join her  in the simplicity of  pure love.

Ram Dass says ” We are all just walking each other home”

When it’s our turn to reenter the great mystery it is said in Tibetan tradition

That we move from earth to water, then from water to fire

Only to be picked up by the wind and  sent off as sparks in the night air.

I stand a witness to this divine process

And  I’m so incredibly thankful for my mother that I love with all my heart,

Who is teaching me the way,

Betty White, Lucky Me.

Of Her Own Free Will

In her apron she holds all three, youth, motherhood and old age.

Not separately but as one.

Persephone, the maiden has chosen to do pro bono work in hell

Initiating the grateful  dead,

Pomegranate juice dribbling down her chin.

There was no man involved, no abduction took place

She simply saw an underworld opportunity

And although her mother was reluctant,

The earth mother did understand her need for purposeful work.

Happy spring Equinox, People of our dear Planet.

Steer clear of duality and let  the triple goddess  be  a reminder

that things are not the way they seem.
