It’s my mother’s 97th birthday

I have paid full attention to knowing her

I have not missed this supreme opportunity.

And now at this late date she is my love guru

with a steady call to join her  in the simplicity of  pure love.

Ram Dass says ” We are all just walking each other home”

When it’s our turn to reenter the great mystery it is said in Tibetan tradition

That we move from earth to water, then from water to fire

Only to be picked up by the wind and  sent off as sparks in the night air.

I stand a witness to this divine process

And  I’m so incredibly thankful for my mother that I love with all my heart,
