DO NOT CLING

Buddhist teachers  often suggest to be with the moment

Neutral to the good and the bad, not clinging!

Do Not Cling

On the day that Jesus left the tomb

His lover, Mary M was bereft

His body was gone

And her careful attentions to it were on longer required.

The tomb was empty

In her sorrow she couldn’t see him until he spoke to her

Instinctively she rushed towards him but he stopped her in her tracks, saying

“Do not Cling”

When I first met my husband of forty two years

He quieted my restless heart

With these lyrics  from  a Rolling Stones song,

“You can’t always get what you want,

You can’t always get what you want,

But if you try sometime

You might find you get want you need!

Higher truth has a ring and a sting to it, rock on.

Happy International Women’s Day, March 8th

to all of you groovy sisters and brothers.
